To tear life at its seams and hope that it bears out the promise that daily living never gave. To see shimmering yet unsteady the sun as it always remains overhead and the stars at night and gradually realise that the ordrinary extends further if it is examined closely. It seems as though this is something we are at large concerned with as a race. We stand beneath the sun, knowing ourselves only a little, and knowing the world we inhabit even less and the stars above seem to render a kind of endless hope.
They are not distant, it would seem, but rather their bright light seems to draw us close into a sort of motion which exceeds understanding. And with the most infinitesimal attention to detail we attempt to regard the moon and what lies beyond it... yet it would expand so much more if we were all to learn to imagine what to do in that great beyond. We let it lie in the abstract and although we daily discover new fragments and parts of its nature we do not figure what we would do with such wide open space. It is even true that we do not know what to do with the space we inhabit, and this curiosity always suprises me.
When will we surface to see the meaning and true potential of the life? Perhaps at the same moment we see that what we are in fact doing is gathering the debris of a vast explosion which happened billions of years ago. Bright, shimmering details which somehow allow us greater depth of discovery now but at great mortal expense. It is interesting to think of what the real purpose of humanity is. It cannot be life itself. Mankind would only tend towards suffering to discover a true love and a true understanding of the life which is not just a given; is an extension of many other people over many centuries.
Is it not of great significance that this world is so physically conducive to what distances us from one another and what makes us try to break the speed of light.
